Hello First Grade (B) Families,
The children enjoyed the trip to the Shrine of St. Katharine Drexel on Friday. Thank you to Mrs. Scheese and Mr. Kohler for chaperoning the trip with us. It was a beautiful day! The Shrine is set to close in December so I’m glad the children were able to see it.
I found a website called Whoo’s Reading. I created accounts to the students and I will put the passwords into their homework copybook this week. It is basicly a reading log first, and it also has questions about the stories. I get back a list of the books the children read and their comprehension of the story. I’m not making this mandatory, but if you try it out I’d love to get your feedback on it. Thank you!

pursue careers in space exploration Go behind-the-scenes of how
revolutionary innovations are being made to continue to explore deep
Space. Learn how information we gather from space leads to
important advances here on Earth. Tour Lockheed Martin's incredible
Solar Array Facility and preview the next generation of solar arrays -
the flex array! While I’m sure some of the information may be
challenging for first graders to understand, I think they will enjoy it.
It is sponsored by Discovery Education.
Have a wonderful week!
