We finally had time to put together our Place Mat Book Report. See photos below. They look great as our hallway display this month. Another project we worked on recently were our Vocabulary Videos. The students had to work together to create a video that demonstrated the definition of a Reading vocab word. You can see the videos on THIS Kidblog post. The children did a nice job with them for the first time doing this.
We have several upcoming projects for the month of March too. First off, we will be reading stories to our PreK3 buddies in Mrs. King's class on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate World Read Aloud Day. If 3rd graders have favorite picture books at home that they can bring in, they should bring them in on Monday so we can practice reading them beforehand. I will also be going to the public library this weekend to get some extras that we can use. Look for photos from this activity to be posted next week.
In my last post I mentioned that we were going to pair up with Mr. Holder's class in England to be blogging buddies. Mr. Holder and I have also decided to exchange Flat Friends with our classes. Each class will make characters to mail to the other class. Once we receive them, we will take photos with them around school and at home and post them to a website so we can each learn more about the other country.
