Hello Fourth Grade Parents,
I wanted to send an update about what is going on this week. Friday there will be a Science test, but it will be open book. I already explained to the students that it is still important to study for the test as they would if it was not open book. They will take the test first thing Friday morning.
Following the Science test, the students will be taking the practice portion and the Inview part of the Terra Nova. Please make sure they come to school with sharpened number 2 pencils with soft erasers. After lunch, the students will go to Media Center for their special. At 2:30, we will be at Church for the Stations of the Cross.
Monday starts the beginning of TerraNova. Again, the students should have sharpened number 2 pencils with soft erasers. They will be taking the Reading section (four parts), which will start at approximately 9:00, and go until about 11:30 with breaks in between. The students will follow the regular schedule for the remainder of the day, so math will be from 2:18 - 3:04.
Tuesday we will be attending the Lenten Mass at 9:00. When we get back from mass, will will have a short break and take the first part of the Language TerraNova. Then the students will have recess, and then they will continue the second part of the Language TerraNova. We will not know until that time if they will be going to Math, and the same concept for math applies for Wednesday and Thursday, as well.
Wednesday is the Mathematics section of the TerraNova. We will be starting at approximately 9:00, and it will continue until about11:20, with breaks in between.
Thursday is the Science Section, and we will be starting around 9:00 until about 10:30. The students will have gym during the last period of the day.
Friday is the final section of the TerraNova and will start after Mass.
I hope this is helpful! If you have any questions, please to not hesitate to ask!
Have a great day!
