Dear 5th Grade Families,
I hope that all of the students are feeling better; today, we prayed for our classmates (and other members of our school community) who are sick. I also reminded the students to wash their hands, make use of the hand sanitizer station, and wipe off their desks (as frequently as needed), etc.
For those of you who are at home, please rest up! We miss you, and we want to see you well.
If your child has a sibling in school, assignments and books were sent home with his or her sibling. If your child does not have a sibling who attends St. Ignatius or his or her sibling was absent as well, I scanned and emailed home the paperwork this afternoon.
This morning in religion class, we began learning about the ministers of the Eucharist. I re-taught the lesson this evening and have posted the video here as well as on the Religion 5 Google Classroom. I will try to record and post the lessons for the rest of the week.
The Elective catalog should be out tomorrow afternoon, and the students will be choosing their classes on Thursday. If you are absent, you may still register (the link will be on the "Current Families" page of the school website Thursday morning) from home. If you are registering from home, please have your selection in by 11:30 AM so that I can assemble the class lists. Otherwise, I will slot the students into a class upon return. I will also scan and post a copy of one of the students' notes for religion as well.
Once again, I hope that everybody is feeling better. I will do my best to forward all of the materials home so that the students are able to work at their own individual paces, but I also hope that everyone is able to rest and return to class as soon as possible. I will work with students, on an individual basis, to catch up when they are able to return.
