Monday- NO SCHOOL- Snow Day
Thursday- Gym (Gym Uniform)
Friday- Elective; Family Dinner 6:30 PM-9:00 PM
Due to the closure of the Pennsbury School District, we will be closed on Monday. I hope that you all stay safe and warm.
Congratulations to Miranda who was chosen as our class winner of the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Contest!
I wish to thank Mrs. Watkins, Mrs. Badman, and all of you who were able to bring something and/or attend this past week's DARE graduation. Thank you also to Mr. and Mrs. Fiduccia who secured Matt Walsh; I think that he gave a very inspiring talk for the 5th graders.
The students should be receiving their spelling books very soon (possibly even this week). Therefore, I am only going to give them a unit at a time for their LF folders.
Next week, for Catholic School Week, we will once again be assembling birthday boxes (two per homeroom) which will be donated to Catholic Social Services (a change from previous years), which will distribute these kits to families in need so that they can provide a birthday party. A sign up sheet is here with the items that we need for each box (one for a 10/11 year old boy and one for a 10/11 year old girl). The items can be brought in any day through this Friday, January 29th; we will be assembling the boxes on Monday, February 1st. There is a green bin in the front of the classroom for the students to place these items.
Assessment folders can be accessed here: Assessment Link
The full agenda for Catholic School Week (January 31st-February 6th) can be found on the Catholic Schools Week page of the school website.
If the weather is cooperative this week and our schedules allow, we will go out in the snow with the kindergarten class; I will send out an email addendum with more information if this works out.
Next Sunday, the students are asked to attend the 11:30 AM Mass for the opening of Catholic Schools Week. The students should meet in the Auditorium, at 11:15 AM, dressed in winter uniform.
Please remember to visit the 5th Grade page of school website for picture, handouts, homework, the assessment/project calendar, and an archive of the 5th grade newsletters; have a great week!
