The next session of Young Rembrandts begins on Monday, March 20th; they are offering a drawing class for 2nd-6th graders. Click here for the flyer and registration information.
Report cards will be issued on Friday. Please sign and return the envelope next week; you may keep the actual report card.
Terra Nova testing will begin next Monday, March 20th and continue through the following Monday, March 27th. These tests are an important, additional measure of your child's achievement, and will be used along-side classroom tests, assignments, and teacher observations for the purposes of curriculum planning and instruction.
Last week, we did a timed writing activity, and this week we will do some activities to prepare but only those that complement what we would normally be learning in our archdiocesan curriculum.
Terra Nova testing begins next Monday; the Terra Nova testing schedule is as follows:
Monday, March 20th: In-View
Tuesday, March 21st: Reading
Wednesday, March 22nd: Language
Thursday, March 23rd: Mathematics
Friday, March 24th: Science
Monday, March 27th: Social Studies
The students will have their afternoon classes on the days that we administer the Terra Nova tests. I will not be testing the students on those days, but we will continue with reading as well as use the time to record our social studies travel videos. Extra snacks and water bottles may be packed for these days; the students will be given frequent breaks.
Please be sure to visit the 5th Grade page of the school website for copies of the newsletter, photos, forms, homework, and the assessment calendar. Your child's religion, ELA, and social studies assessment folder can be found here: Contact Assessment Link 2020
Have a great week!
