Friday Elective Schedule
St. Ignatius Parish Bulletin
Wednesday- Rosary with Kindergarten
Thursday- Pretzel of the Month
Friday- Elective; Yearbook
I hope that you all had an enjoyable weekend. We will be sending out a formal announcement this week with arrangements for Msgr. Statkus. Msgr. Statkus said the "first" First Friday Mass that I planned as the 5th grade teacher at St. Ignatius, and I'll always remember how he took the time to come over the school to visit the students before the liturgy and made them (and me) feel at ease during the Mass.
Congratulations to Justin and Mia who were recognized as our Disciples of the Month for April. For the month of May, we will focus on demonstrating compassion.
On Wednesdays during the month of May, we will be praying the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary with our kindergarten buddies. The students may either bring in their own Rosaries or borrow a set from the classroom.
This Thursday is our Parish May Procession at 7:00 PM; the students need to meet in the 5th grade classroom by 6:45 PM in their spring uniforms. We will then process over to the Church. In case of rain, we will meet in the Church Auditorium.
The Spring Concert and Art Show will be next Monday, May 15th. For the afternoon dress rehearsal and evening performance, Mrs. Schauder has asked that the fifth graders wear a plain black shirt, jeans, and sneakers. The students should meet in the Church that evening by 6:45 PM; the performance will begin at 7:00 PM and will be followed by the art show in the Cafeteria & Gym (enter the school through the Blue Canopy Entrance). DVDs of the concert can be ordered here.
Please be sure to visit the 5th Grade page of the school website for copies of the newsletter, photos, forms, homework, and the assessment calendar. Your child's religion, ELA, and social studies assessment folder can be found here: Contact Assessment Link 2020
Have a great week!
