Today began our Forty Hours devotion; we will be visiting the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration on Monday from 2:30 PM-3:00 PM. We will have evening prayer on Sunday and Monday at 7:30 PM; the closing prayer, procession, and benediction will be on Tuesday at 7:30 PM; Fr. Matt Guckin is our guest priest this year.
This week is the Scholastic Book Fair in the Media Center. The 5th grade will be previewing on Tuesday from 11:05-11:50 (note the new time because of DARE) and shopping on Thursday from 10:15 AM-11:00 AM (during their scheduled technology class). The book fair will also be open on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.
St. Ignatius is sponsoring a recyclable scarecrow contest to promote the new recycling program. This week, we will decide the theme for our class scarecrow, and I will ask for materials in next Sunday's newsletter. An overview of the recycling program can be found here on the school website.
During the month of October, we will be praying the Rosary with our kindergarten buddies on Wednesday mornings. The students may bring in rosary beads or borrow them from me for the month.
Have a great week!
