Thursday- Pilgrimage to Shrine of St. John Neumann (Regular Uniform)
Friday- Elective; Yearbook
I hope that you all are having an enjoyable weekend.
Tomorrow, Monday, is picture day. All of the students need to wear their regular uniform. Picture packets were sent home last week; if you don't have one or would like to order online, you can do so by goinghere and entering our picture day ID which is: JL766395Q0
Tuesday is DARE, so the students need to wear their DARE shirts. I am going to get their group photo, in their DARE shirts, for the yearbook. If you were not able to attend last week's meeting, the handout is available here; please let me know if you are interested in helping the coordinate the graduation in January.
Thursday is our pilgrimage to the Shrine of St. John Neumann. For the trip, the students need to wear their regular uniform (we won't have gym on Thursday) and pack a lunch. I recommend that the lunch be in a brown bag so that they don't have to worry about bringing their lunch bags. The students may bring a small drawstring bag to carry a camera and/or lunch bag. I really enjoyed the last two times that we took a school-wide pilgrimage, and I know that the students will have a prayerful, fun experience. We will depart by 9:00 AM and return around 2:00 PM.
Here is the link to your child's assessment folder: Assessment Link 2020 This URL will contain copies of all ELA, religion, and social studies assessments. I will periodically send out the link to remind you to check it but, now that you have it, you can access the folder at anytime. I will show the students how to access the folders this week (they can do so through their Goggle Drive accounts). Depending on your email client, you may need to copy and paste the link into your web browser if it is not clickable.
This Saturday is the installation of Fr. Brownholtz at the 5:15 PM Mass; you all are invited to attend. There will be a reception following the Mass in the Auditorium.
Please be sure to visit the 5th Grade page of the school website for copies of the newsletter, photos, forms, homework, and the assessment calendar.
As we continue to become acquainted with life in 5th grade, I thank everyone but especially each and every one of the 5th grade students for their efforts during September. Have a great week!
