Monday- Picture Day
Thursday- Gym (Gym Uniform)
Friday- First Friday Mass 9:00 AM
I hope that the time off for the World Meeting of Families and the papal visit has been well.
Monday is picture day; the students need to dress in their summer or winter uniform. Picture packets were sent home last week; a copy can be found here or you can order online here using the picture day IDJL765395Q0.
Tuesday is the first DARES class with Officer Omlor. He will be sending home a permission form which needs to be signed and returned by next Tuesday; a copy can be found here. The shirts are scheduled to arrive this week. If they arrive on Monday, I will send them home so that the students can wear them on Tuesday; if not, I will send them home for next week. With the DARES shirts, they will be worn in place of the uniform shirt, along with the uniform pants or skirt. The overview for DARE classes can be found here.
Friday is our First Friday Mass at 9:00 AM in the Church; we invite you all to attend. We will be recognizing two disciples of the month for demonstrating love; the characteristic for October will be peace.
During the month of October, we will be praying the Rosary with our kindergarten buddies on Wednesday mornings. The students may bring in rosary beads or borrow them from me for the month.
The two tentative dates for our field trips will be April 21st to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and June 10th to the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul and Reading Terminal Market. Once they are confirmed, I will let you know. I invite you all to chaperone (the only caveat is that the art museum limits the number of chaperones on the guided tour portion of the trip; any chaperones above their limit will need to self-tour during that portion of the trip). It is also important to note that we will be leaving directly from (and returning to) the Yardley train station on those two days. Please be on the look out for more details in the coming weeks.
Have a great week!
