Dear 5th Grade Families,
I hope that you are all enjoying the summer vacation so far. I wanted to take a few moments to officially welcome you to 5th grade and provide some information for the summer.
This will be my eighth year in 5th grade at St. Ignatius (my favorite grade both as a student and as a teacher); I will be teaching 5th grade religion, ELA, and social studies. Mrs. Booz teaches math, Mrs. Casey honors math, and Mrs. Fiduccia science. We will work together, along with you, to provide a year of spiritual, academic, social growth through an outstanding school experience.
The summer assignments for reading and math as well as the supply list are posted on the Current Families page of the school website. I also invite you to visit the 5th grade page where you will find pictures and newsletters from last year, which will provide a glimpse into the all that 5th grade has to offer here at St. Ignatius School.
In addition, posted on the class page, is the 5th Grade Overview that contains general information, policies, and procedures for the upcoming school year.
Have a great summer; please let me know if you have any questions. I will be in the office during the months of June and August, and I will send out communication during the summer with more information as I prepare for next year (as well as take some vacation time).
I look forward to seeing you all in the fall: Meet Your Teacher Day is Tuesday, September 6th at 2:00 PM, and the first day of school is Wednesday, September 7th.
