I am writing to share the agenda for the class trip scheduled for May 20th, the students preferred New York as their destination.
I asked the students the names of their parents who wished to attend the trip, as we will be able to take more parents on this special trip. We will be using a coach bus not a school bus which will be more comfortable for the trip.
The following parents are the names submitted to me by the students, if you have not heard from me then your clearances are approved. This applies only for the specific parent listed, if for some reason this parent can't attend then the other parent will need to be approved.
Mr. and Mrs Cauley, Mrs. Bontempo, Mrs. Borda, Mrs Keating, Mr. Moyer, Mrs. Twomey, Mrs. Glunz, Mrs Foschini, Mrs. Weber, Mrs, Galasso, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Harkins, Mr. Sweitzer, Mrs. Rago, Mrs Kottcamp.
Mr or Mrs. Golembuski, Mr. or Mrs. Blanco, Mr. or Mrs. Misnik still need to complete the clearance process.
Mrs. O'Brien just requested to go, will check with Mrs. Di clearances.
If there is another parent who is interested to attend please let me know immediately. If your name is on the interested list and can no longer attend then please let me know so I can remove you from the list. We will need to have no more then 2 students with each of the chaperons, but groups of parents and students can certainly travel together. Any students with medical conditions should be accompanied with a parent.
I stated in my last e-mail that a permission slip must be signed regardless of whether or not the parent is attending. Snacks can be brought on the bus and distributed by the parents to the students.A brown bag lunch needs to be brought, but items can be purchased at our first stops. Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. The dress code is golf/ polo school shirt for both boys and girls, no shorts, students can wear khaki's or capri pants. Students can wear sneakers as there will be a lot of walking.
If you can not attend and your child will be going home with another parent a note is required. If you are picking up your child after the trip they will contact you when the bus is close to school so everyone can leave upon return without delay. Phones and electronic devices are permitted but the school, nor staff are responsible for damage or loss.Items such as jackets, extra food, reading materials can be left on the bus but once the bus drops us off you may not be able to get these items for a few hours.
Below you will find the agenda for the trip. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
