Dear 8th Grade Families,
Tomorrow is the day! Students will be spending the day in New York City visiting Ellis Island and the New York Harbour Area, Battery Park, the 9/11 Memorial, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Top of the Rock Observation Deck, and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
Please make sure your student arrives by 6:45AM as we will be departing the school promptly at 7:00am.
Students are to bring a bagged lunch or money to pay for lunch at Ellis Island; however, due to the crowds, it was highly suggested that the students bring a bagged lunch.
Students are responsible for any electronics and money they bring with them, and I do suggest they bring a small bag to carry things around in.
Students are required to wear their Graduation Class T-shirt that they received in class today. They should wear comfortable shoes as we will be doing a lot of walking in the city. Students may wear nice jeans (no holes), khakis, or capris. Shorts and leggings are not permitted. I would also suggest bringing a sweatshirt.
It is supposed to be a gorgeous day in New York tomorrow: sunny with a high of 79. However, it will be in the low 50s when we leave St. Ignatius and in the low 60s when we arrive on the New Jersey side of the Hudson (Liberty State Park). Please plan accordingly.
We will arrive back at St. Ignatius at 8:00PM.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
