Before and After School Programs
Before and after school programs are designed with your best interest in mind. From C.A.R.E.S. to religious education, performing arts, and more, Saint Ignatius of Antioch Catholic School delivers educational excellence when it comes to enriching your child after hours.
C.A.R.E.S.
Saint Ignatius of Antioch Catholic School understands the employment demands placed on parents, including the dilemma faced by many of what to do with their children until the workday ends. To accommodate working parents, Saint Ignatius offers before and after school student child care services (Children Are Receiving Extra Services - CARES.)
This unique before and after school program (C.A.R.E.S.) is run by two exceptionally qualified teaching assistants and helps focus each student academically as well as socially. Homework is completed during the after school time and tutoring, if needed, is given. Educational games are also administered. Learn more about C.A.R.E.S.
Religious Education
For children attending public or non-religious private schools who wish to follow a traditional Roman Catholic education, including receiving their sacraments, religious education is offered in the evenings at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Catholic School. Please contact our Religious Studies' coordinator for more information.
Promoting Enrichment and Creativity

- Dance - From ballet to jazz, beginner to advanced, children prepare all year long and give a final performance in the spring to demonstrate their talent.
- Westminster Conservatory programs (offered on-site at Saint Ignatius):
- Voice - Children are taught the elements of singing, vocal quality, and diction.
- Piano - Children are given hands-on, individual piano lessons from beginner through advanced.

- Chess Club - An after-school exclusive, Saint Ignatius chess experts lead these young minds into challenging chess matches and competition.
- Children's Choir - Taught by our talented music director, children learn the basics of singing in a Catholic choir, including harmony, rhythm, and religious hymn selections. Children sing throughout the year at scheduled masses. Adult choir is also available for Saint Ignatius Parishioners. Please contact the music director for more information about the children or adult choir program.
- Mad Science - Offered by The College of New Jersey with on-site classes at Saint Ignatius, Mad Science is an exciting science-based after-school program that teaches students of all grades a variety of scientific principles through experimentation.
