Mrs. Jane McKiernan
Pre-K Teacher |
Mrs. McKiernan approaches early Catholic school education with patience and strength. Her extensive teaching background spans two decades and includes the 12+ years spent at Saint Ignatius Catholic School where she taught second grade for many years.
What sets pre-kindergarten students apart is the school "readiness" factor. Mrs. McKiernan recognizes the wide disparity that exists at this young age between those who are eager to attend school and those with separation anxiety.
A warm and nurturing environment, centered around encouragement and activities, enables children to relax and seamlessly adapt to their new surroundings. Visible signs of personal achievement and social advancement are apparent as the year progresses.

From half-day to full-day, with optional C.A.R.E.S. before and after school supervision, preschoolers have the opportunity to grow at their own pace in a wholesome, religious academic environment.
The morning begins with a variety of learning games, followed by recess, to enhance socialization and physical activity. The pre-kindergarten classroom has its own fenced-in playground, conveniently located just outside the back door.
Inside group learning includes the computer station, where children collectively participate in academic games, rhymes, identification, and much more.
