Weekly Newsletter for October 17th to the 21st
We find ourselves amidst a very exciting week in Pre-K4, as we get ready for our Field Trip to Snipes Farm on Tuesday. I remind you that students must wear their school uniform and pack a brown bag lunch where everything can be thrown away before coming home.
We will continue to review shapes this week as we practice how to draw them and recall how many sides and corners they have. We will even be reading about Spookley the Square Pumpkin and look for different shapes in the story.
Our letter of the week will be Ll. We will practice its sound and learn how to write it correctly. We will also identify the different things that begin with the sound of /l/.
We will use our theme of pumpkins this week to practice our ELA, as we practice sequence and learn about the setting of a story. We will even work with some rhyming words as we learn different pumpkin poems. We will practice matching uppercase letters to lowercase and will continue to kid-write and share different things we can do with pumpkins.
Our theme this week in Religion will be practicing and praying, as we recall how to make the Sign of the Cross and how that too is a special prayer to God.
Reminders for the Week:
Tuesday- Field Trip Day
All students must report to school at normal time with a brown bag lunch. We will be returning back to school at 1:00pm, so we will need you to pack an afternoon snack in a separate bag.
Thursday- no school due to a Faculty Development Day.

Dear Pre-K Parents,
I would like to thank everyone who volunteered to chaperone for our Field Trip. While we wish we could have taken everyone, we were limited to taking 5 chaperones from each classroom. I would also like you to know, xwe will be taking all three aides from our classroom, so there will be plenty of supervision for this trip. Below you will find the list of chaperones for Pre-K4A.
Our chaperones will be:
Mrs. Giagnacova O’Neil
Again I would like to thank all who volunteered. We do plan on taking another trip in Spring, which will allow those who were not picked this time to hopefully go. We look forward to an exciting trip filled with learning and fun.
Have a wonderful week!
