CARES Before and After School Program
St. Ignatius School provides a before and after school care program. This program is staffed by our faculty and other qualified, caring employees. Our aim is to create a safe, secure, and fun atmosphere while continuing to instill Catholic values through meaningful interaction and play.
During morning CARES the children may read, study, color, play outside (weather and staff permitting) play with toys and games, and socialize. This program can be used on a regular or as-needed basis. The program begins at 7:00 AM and you may drop off your child anytime between 7:00 AM and 8:15 AM. All students who are dropped off before 8:15 AM need to go to CARES.
Our after school program is flexible for parents and provides a warm, safe, and fun environment for the children to unwind, socialize, and complete their homework. We begin each day in the cafeteria with a snack and then spend time on the playground (weather permitting) or have free play in the gym. Children who have homework then have time to complete it, with our staff will assisting them if needed. Students will also have the opportunity to do holiday crafts and service projects. The after school program runs from 3:15 PM until 6:00 PM.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CARES PROGRAM WILL BE SUBJECT TO ALL COVID PROTOCALS AS ESTABLISHED BY THE CDC AND BUCKS COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. ALL CARES ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY MOVED TO THE SCHOOL CAFETERIA TO ENSURE SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS. ALL CARES STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO COVID REQUIREMENTS, SUCH AS FACIAL COVERINGS, REGULAR HAND SANITIZING, AND ALL OTHER CDC RECOMMENDATIONS. SOCIALIZATION AND PLAY ACTIVITES MAY ALSO BE RESTRICTED AND/OR TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

An additional hour will be charged should a pick-up exceed an hour. All attendance is kept electronically, and each parent or other designated pick-up is issued a unique PIN which is used to sign the students out; identification is checked for all persons unknown the staff, and the entrance to the PreK building is kept locked with the door answered by a CARES staff member.
