Class News:

I hope that you all had an enjoyable weekend.

We will be exchanging Valentine cards and enjoying a treat on Tuesday afternoon since Valentine's Day coincides with Ash Wednesday this year.

We will be attending the 9:00 AM Mass for Ash Wednesday; we will also be attending the 9:00 AM Mass on subsequent Wednesdays during Lent with the Kindergarten.

Friday, February 23rd begins Stations of the Cross at 2:00 PM. The 5th grade will be serving as readers on Friday, March 16th.

During Catholic Schools Week, we began a Novena to St. John Neumann for our parish and school as well as each students' special intentions. We will finish this week (because of the days off last week).

We will be choosing new elective classes this week (which we were not able to do because of the days off last week). Electives will begin on Friday, February 23rd.

We are still collecting new pairs of socks, as a school, for those in need. Donations may be sent in to the classroom, and we will place them in the collection container in the Cafeteria.

Please remember that there is no school this Friday (2/16) and Monday (2/19).

The 5th graders have the opportunity to participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed program. Any 5th graders who read six or more hours (outside of school) and log it by February 26th, 2018 will receive a ticket to Six Flags Great Adventure. To participate, please return this reading log by the due date.

Please be sure to visit the 5th grade page of the school website; on that page you will find the homework and long term assignment calendars, and pictures.

Have a great week!
